Guide to Stansted Airport

London is serviced by several international airports, with Stansted being one of the main arrival locations for international visitors. Flight arrivals are from all corners of the world, making Stansted one of the busiest UK airports. Stansted has ( at the moment of writing) one airport terminal for international and domestic flights. Stansted is situated on the M11 motor way between London and Cambridge and the airport is approximately 20 minutes from the M25 road junction. Journey time from London is around 70 minutes by taxi. Fares can be around 70-80 pounds, so car hire is a very attrative option!

The Stansted Express railway train service is from London Liverpool Street station with trains from Monday to Friday every 15 minutes between 08:00am and 16:00pm and every half hour at other times. The first train departs from Liverpool Street at 05:00 Monday to Friday inclusive. Saturday and Sunday service operates every 30 minutes with the first departureat 05:00 and the last departure at 23:00. Journey time is about 42 minutes from Stansted.

Airbus route A6 provides an excellent service to Stansted Airport from Victoria railway and coach station in central London. Services run every 20 minutes, seven days a week during the day. Journey time is around 1hr 45 minutes. Fares are GBP£8 one-way and GBP£12 return/round trip.
